Questions
& Answers

  • How do I RSVP?
Using this Google form! Just one response per party, please.
  • When do I need to RSVP by?
We'd very much appreciate an RSVP by the end of this year (2025, for those who have lost count like we have). The sooner the better, though -- summer in Alaska is a wildly popular time, so places to stay can book up fast!
  • Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?
Either of us! Or Lucas, if you want to walk on the wild side.
  • What do I wear?
Everything is pretty casual -- we'll be dressed to the 9s for the ceremony, of course, so feel free to match that vibe, or keep it comfy (think “Alaska formal”—nice jeans, flannel shirts, and boots are all acceptable). Main thing is to make sure you're comfortable and warm!
  • What time does the ceremony end?
There's no official end time for the ceremony/wedding day, so you're welcome to stay and party as long as you're feeling it! Our guess is we'll be dancing late into the evening ;)
  • What kind of food will be served?
A smorgasbord of awesome Alaskan fare! If you have specific dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP.
  • When will we eat?
We'll have some snacks & apps during a cocktail hour (post-ceremony), and then dinner will likely show up around 7pm-ish. It'll be worth the wait, we promise.
  • Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?
Nope. Our hope is that folks choose to stay in Girdwood, and then you'll be within a 5 minute drive of anywhere you need to go! It's also highly likely you can walk/bike/free shuttle to wherever you need to go :)
  • Will we be indoors or outdoors for the wedding ceremony?
The venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces. Any of the "official" things (e.g. exchanging vows) will be outside, so prepare accordingly!
  • Will we see you on Sunday?
We hope so! We'll be at the venue on Sunday morning still, and will have a late brunch. You're welcome to stop by (please use the RSVP form to let us know you're coming!), and/or shoot us a text and let us know when you're leaving -- we'd love to see you before you go!
  • How should I get to Girdwood?
The most straightforward route is flying into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). From there, Girdwood is about a 45-minute drive. You can rent a car, take a shuttle, or use ride-sharing services. For the adventurous, consider the scenic Alaska Railroad.
  • Where should I stay?
Girdwood offers a range of accommodations, from hotels and AirBnBs to vacation rentals and campgrounds. We recommend booking early, as summer is a popular time. Check out our “Stay & Play” section for suggestions.
  • Can I bring my kids?
You should! Alaska is an awesome place for kiddos. But, unfortunately, we can't have kiddos at the wedding ceremony itself (see our Schedule of Events page for more info). It's a venue limitation -- but we're planning to arrange for some sitters for those who are traveling with kids! That way, you can attend the ceremony and have a fun night off, and the kiddos are happy, too :)
  • Wait, what? What the hell am I supposed to do with them?
Hopefully, enjoy yourself both with, and without them! We're arranging for some sitters to be on point during the ceremony evening, so your kids can group up with other similarly aged kiddos and do something fun! If this applies to you, please let us know during the RSVP process that you will be traveling with kiddos -- we ask for as much info as you want to provide re: how many, their ages, and what lights their fire, so we can arrange for some awesome people (and activities) for them to engage in, while you have some fun of your own!
  • What will the weather be like?
Look, people. This is Alaska. If you come with an expectation, you're setting yourself up for failure. Expect nothing, and all will be well! Alaska is only a good layer away from a good time ;) In all seriousness: We expect, and have found, that June tends to be super enjoyable and usually mid-high 60s. That said, weather is wild and even more unpredictable that ever these days so, please prepare for anything! Temperatures usually range from the mid-50s to mid-70s°F. Layers, layers, layers! And definitely bring a light rain coat and some boots, just in case.
  • Any recommendations for things to do outside of Girdwood, but still close-ish?
Our Stay & Play page has some helpful info, too, but here are some quick highlights that come to mind if you want to explore a bit outside of Girdwood: Wildlife Conservation Center (~15 min south) Portage (~10 min south) Whittier (~30 min south) Hope (~45 min.... west!)
